Hands On: Parrot AR.Drone [CES 2011]

The Parrot AR Drone was on display at CES with demonstrations showing how to fly it. The drone uses an Ad-hoc Wi-Fi connection without the need for a router and is capable of a range of up to 50 meters and the controls work through an iPad, iPod or iPhone. The interface is quite simple to pick up and use and can be flown by watching the drone itself or by watching the camera view that is sent directly to the controller.

State of the Wok

Loyal readers of the site will have undoubtedly noticed the updates in design and navigation to GamerWok in Februrary.  We're now fully hosted and supported by SquareSpace and subsequently, require a bit of tidying up on the backend during this time of conversion.

The editors are working hard to have all the previously posted content fixed up and to have the new content prepared.  We're expecting this to happen in the next few weeks and to have regularly scheduled content being posted soon after.  But what about a tease you ask?  For the patient types, you will have reviews of blockbuster games to look forward to, some older titles that still needs addressing (such as Mass Effect 2) and, of course, many tech gadgets such as iPhone juice packs, noise cancelling headphones, and the return of the gamer's PC builds.
