Superbowl 2012 [Sports]

Yesterday was the big day in football as the New York Giants took the Superbowl for a second time from the New England Patriots. For EA’s Madden video game franchise this was also a win as the game predicted the winner in their annual Superbowl prediction.

Mass Effect 3 Kinect Impression [Xbox360]

One of the most anticipated games of the year is the third chapter in Bioware’s stellar Mass Effect series. I had the opportunity to play the demo at PAX late last year but last week at CES I got to try something that totally changes the game. Mass Effect 3 is going to have Kinect capabilities and it’s good.

Yoshi's Two Cents: Mass Effect Review [PC]

ED: Yoshi’s 2 Cents is a semi-regular segment on gaming pioneered by FatYoshi.  Every once in a while, there’s a game that slipped your playlist or you simply ran out of time to review upon release.  This is such a case, and since the game was worthy of mention, you get the shorten version or a late review.

Space opera is a term that’s easily thrown around in the gaming and sci-fi world. By definition, a space opera is a grandiose undertaking that features plenty of drama, action, suspense, and romance. BioWare, taking what they’ve learned from the Knights of the Old Republic series, brought us Mass Effect in 2007 (2008 on the PC), arguably one of  the finest space operas ever created.

In light of what EA is proposing to do with Battlefield 3 pre-orders, do you feel it’s fair for a person to gain in-game bonuses that has a direct effect on those that don’t pre-order? Which, in an online competitive game, gives those that puts down the early or extra cash, that little bit of an advantage from day one.
