fun. - Some Nights Album Review [Music]

By all accounts, fun.’s debut album, Aim & Ignite, was a stellar album. It featured tantalizing instrumentation, sing-along choruses and memorable hooks. Despite all this, the general feeling around fun.’s new album, Some Nights, was that the band was striving for something bigger.

The Wonder Years’ latest released, Suburbia, I’ve Given You All And Now I’m Nothing, has done that in spades. Suburbia, released June 14, 2011, is not only an album of the year candidate, but one of the best pop-punk albums of all time.

The Dear Hunter – The Color Spectrum [Album Review]

 

If there’s one thing you can say about Casey Crescenzo, the mastermind behind The Dear Hunter, it’s that he’s always aiming big and pushing boundaries. Back in 2005, while still a full-time member of The Receiving End of Sirens (TREOS), Crescenzo was already writing and demoing songs for his current project, The Dear Hunter. Normally, bands write, record and spit out albums every two years, and that’s that. Seemingly, that’s not good enough for Crescenzo.
