Hottest Women of Sci-Fi and Fantasy

Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 5:30AM When you hear the words "Science Fiction" and "Fantasy", the first image that crosses the minds of many is overweight nerds donning their Starfleet uniform holding up their hand in a Vulcan salute. My how times have changed. No longer is sci-fi and fantasy relegated to a niche (and sometimes overly passionate) group of people but is in fact, two genres growing rapidly in mass appeal. Think in the last ten years the films and TV shows that you have enjoyed. Heroes, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Lord of the Rings...
The growing appeal isn't only just the audience. In particular, we have seen actresses work in a genre that they wouldn't have touched 20 years back. Win-win for us; the male audience that is. Without further ado, here are my top five picks:
Number One - Jessica Alba (Dark Angel, Fantastic 4)

I will admit that I never did watch Dark Angel and it was many years later that I realized: "Damn, she's quite fine". Often seen as a sex symbol, she frequently appears on "Top 100" lists. No argument from me.
Number Two - Kate Beckinsale (Underworld)

You're not going to find any bad teeth on this British babe. Donning a skin tight leather garment as a rogue vampire in the popular Underworld films, I'd let her suck me. And by suck, I mean my blood of course.
Number Three - Zoe Saldana (Star Trek 2009)

Her name may not be well known but the first time I laid my eyes on her in Guess Who, I was quite captivated by her beauty. I look forward to seeing her in future Star Trek films.
Number Four - Terry Farrell (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)

Maybe it's the blue-green eyes but Terry definitely has a sensual and seductive quality to her that made her such a hit in the sci-fi world. And let's not forget the scene where she made out with another woman in Deep Space Nine.
Number Five - Amanda Tapping (Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis)

Amanda portrays a geeky beauty so it's no wonder she's well received by sci-fi fans. She may no longer be young Captain Samantha Carter but is still very easy on the eyes.
