Question of the Week: What Game Most Deserves a Remake?

Seems like publishers these days are loving the remakes and reboots of games from our childhood. With Bionic Commando seeing a major reboot this week, and with Punch Out getting the once over treatment, what other games would you kill to see a reboot of?  Listed here are only a few major choices and if we've missed out on your favorite, let us know in the comments!

I would go for any remake that didn't involve 3D graphics or souped-up engines or an achievement-based system.

Can we not retain the very soul that made them classics to begin with?

I could not imagine the nightmare of trying to land the Double Dragon moves in a 3D world. Ugh!

The "elbow-of-power" would miss every freaking time, and there'd likely be camera problems when attempting to do the "hair-grab-knee-pummel-for-3-times-then-shoulder-toss" maneouver.

It was either Ff6 or FF7 and honestly, I think FF6 is charming in 2D sprite and don't really want to see it in 3D - BUT FF7 desperately needs a 3D update!

Completely agreed! Bionic Commando Rearmed was a perfect example of a remake done right. But the new Bionic Commando in full 3D is an example of why some games just works better as 2D. That game seriously doesn't work - clumsy controls, bad writing, and totally plays on your nostalgia to sell. Blurg!
