What do you mean no more "homebrew"?Earlier this week, Gizmodo via WiiBrew.org reported that there were some peculiar "additional" features not advertised in the latest 3.4 Wii System Update. If you know about the Wii mod scene, it's been fairly active considering that the system isn't as "hardcore" as its competition. But because of the rampant homebrew activities found on the DS, it's not a surprise that Wii modding has achieved Miyamoto status.
The details of the 3.4 update, is once again, killing the Twilight Princess Hack, which enables you to install a save file that will exploit the Twilight Princess code thereby allowing the user to install custom code to the machine. With the custom code installed, a Homebrew Channel can then be activated and used to run Homebrew applications or pirated Wii-Ware/Virtual Console games. The Homebrew channel has nothing to do with pirating the full retail games available at stores.
