DSi Ushers in the New World

Gizmodo confirms, along with other Nintendo mod sites, that the new DSi just released in Japan is indeed Flashcard proof. Gamerwok called it as such when the DSi was announced in early October. Just as the new PSP-3000 stops the Pandora Battery hack, these "updates" of consoles are effectively killing piracy and it is certainly effective. The XBOX 360 was killed off after Microsoft went with a new "quieter" DVD drive. It certainly was a tad bit quieter but it proved to be the silver bullet that killed the pirate wolf. The PS3 is still uncrackable, and the Wii was epoxied all together!
This could mean that the whole cottage industry of modchips and flashcards that's sustaining the lives of hundreds of thousands of Chinese workers could come to a screeching halt. Time to stock up boys and girls, you are going to have to start paying for games to have to only play official software. Feudalism in the kingdom of consoles is over, here comes the industrial revolution.
